After the release of their last studio album THIRTEEN at the end of 2019, the pandemic years also abruptly ended the planned live tour of Modern Day Heroes and brought the band back to the studio. The result is the album Stars&Skies which will be released in Spring 2024.
However, no one has to wait that long, because the recordings for the new mini-album Dust&Flames were finished just last year and digitally released in October 22!

Despite the usual casual hooklines and groovy rhythms, the first single SOMEONE LIKE YOU, which was released on May 27, due to the current events, something melancholic, but also hopeful got off. Packaged in a video with strong images and lyric excerpts, the song reflects a bit what moves the band in these troubled times.

With a heavier pace that strikes right from the first riff and hits you straight in the pit of your stomach, Modern Day Heroes have released the second single PLEASE, on September 16. The track has recently turned out to be a rousing live song and makes the dance-loving rockers sprint in front of the stage.

Dust&Flames, the third single to the EP of the same name, starts with a primal scream and thunders along like an avalanche! Dusty and burning, like the music video this song got! With the urgency and power of the massive guitar riff, the rolling bass and driving drums, the song oviously plays with fire!

The surprising fourth song on the EP could almost be a ballad. But somehow ANOTHER LULLABY doesn't really want to fit into that pigeonhole. The rusty bluesy riff of the deep baritone guitar, drills not only into the ear canals, but somehow at the same time into the emotional heart center. One can almost, for a moment, feel like the world can be briefly switched off from all the madness.
